It is said that Joan Carter started
singing at the ripe old age of three, in
her high chair, singing “Crusin’ Down
the River”.
Her love for music has
flourished over the
years and enabled her to
memorize literally
hundreds of songs from
pop to jazz to Broadway
tunes.
Joan spent 35 years within the Medical
Community and in 1996 opened her own
in-home Professional Pet Sitting
Business in Southeast Volusia County.
Even during her working years, Joan has
taken
the opportunity to sing and has
appeared in various area Clubs, singing
with trios such as Harold Blanchard and
others, and also as guest soloist at the
well known Dino’s Jazz Club in
Cocoa
Beach.
Joanie, as she is known, has been a
member of the Good News Singers at
Coronado Community United Methodist Church for
the past 5 years and regularly
performs solos at the Church and other
area events.
