A young adult Christian vocal ensemble,
Joyful Heirs, was established 19 years
ago as a part of the music ministry of
First United Methodist Church. In
recent years, the organization has been
restructured as an ecumenical ensemble
and is now comprised of 18 singers
representing several area churches and
is under the direction of Jo Traywick,
founder of the ensemble.
Joyful Heirs, in recent years, has
presented concerts to benefit various
Christian-based community organizations
such as Family Renew Community, New
Start, and Great Kids Explorer Club.
They see their mission as being an
outreach group and therefore, have
expanded their ministry to include
concerts for community organizations,
churches, and nursing homes. They
have also recorded one tape and one CD. |
